Apex Athens

We would love to welcome you to Athens to come work alongside our team as we work to share the love of God in our city.

Greece is known for its beautiful landscape, rich history, welcoming people and great food! It is also known as a Christian nation because of the Greek Orthodox church. However, most Greeks do not have a personal relationship with Jesus, and have created distance between themselves and the church. This being said, there is a new interest in faith and spirituality in general in the younger generations. We want to be a light to those who are searching.

There are approximately 11 million people in Greece. Most of which live in Athens. The crowded streets offer many opportunities for relationship building. You will have many chances to explore and get to know what drives people in the city. With our laid-back culture, you will have many opportunities to learn from the locals and to share your faith and what God is doing in your life.

The Athens Team is seeking humble servants that want to be a catalyst for long-term relationship building, discipleship, and ministry. Join us as we do life and ministry together!  You will spend time learning some Greek along with the culture. Working in different ministries that include working with the homeless, teens and kids. We would also want you to take some time to grow in your personal relationship with the Lord as well as spend time learning from our team.

How you’ll serve:

• You will spend time learning language and culture.
• Our team partners with several local mercy ministries in and around Athens. You will spend time getting to know these ministries and helping serve along side our team and locals as we serve the Lord together.
• Our team partners with a church plant in downtown Athens. You will spend time getting to know and building discipleship relationships within the church. You will also spend time helping with our children’s and youth ministries as they have their summer programs.
• We will spend time getting to know Athens by prayer walking through different areas.
• As a team we want to get to know you and understand how we can help you grow closer to God.
