Apex Santo Domingo

Apex

During your six weeks in Santo Domingo, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow alongside the team of missionaries serving here. Our desire is to invest in you while giving you a taste of what cross-cultural missions is like.

The ReachGlobal Santo Domingo City Team has been invited by Red Bendición (RB - Blessing Network) to help disciple university students in their network of house churches. Our goal is to provide pathways to a deeper, reproducing discipleship, a Biblical worldview, and intellectual confidence in following Jesus, with the goal of equipping students reach their peers at their respective universities.

Universities offer an “English Immersion Program” and we have an opportunity to place volunteer English teaching assistants at one of these universities. Students enter the program because speaking English can impact future employment and pay scale nearly as much as the degree they earn. As an English teaching assistant with a Dominican professor, you will have daily interaction with students from nearly every walk of life, and opportunities for friendship in and out of class, and to engage them with the Gospel along with friends from RB house churches. Pray about this opportunity to extend the influence of Jesus to future leaders in the Dominican Republic!

We are partnering with a network of house churches that is committed to discipleship and multiplying house churches throughout Santo Domingo and beyond. By combining discipleship of university students across house churches, and outreach among university English students, we hope to stimulate the growth and multiplication of house churches all over the city.

Our prayer is that this trip will not only help you grow in your faith, but that it will also help you to serve in God’s kingdom wherever the Lord takes you. Come be a part of what God is doing in Santo Domingo!

Meet our Missionaries

As a new Reach Global City Team we are small, with a experienced couple co-leading and one intern currently on the ground, and we frequently collaborate with missionary families from other organizations who are engaged in similar ministries. Our mission is to disciple university students and young professionals across a network of house churches and equip them to reach peers and co-workers, and to tactfully bring the Gospel into the classrooms of the Immersion English Program.
