Rio is a melting pot for religious, philosophical and political Ideas. There is nothing off limits. It is a city defined by Its high mountain Peaks and views, lush, green, rain forrest, and golden beaches with its emerald sea. It is hard to know what Cariocans (Rio Natives) love more... nature, food and festas (parties) or football. They are characterized by their love for life. Though they are a spiritual people they have a form of religion without its power.... many are slaves to idolatry.... loving the created things more than their Creator. Addictions, immorality and poverty result in broken families which leave children vulnerable with poor or no education and no true sense of right and wrong. Other kids have good families but are far from home, living in a new country, trying to learn a new language and are emotionally vulnerable. We, the local church and our Gospel partners invite you to join us relating, listening, learning and of course serving children- from all walks of life. Share the love of Jesus in both words and works and witness the wonder of Gospel transformation in the lives of children and their families.

Craig and Alessandra, along with Sam serve at a Gospel-Centered, International Church. Craig is the ReachGlobal City Team Leader and Pastor of the Union Church of Rio. They give the International community in Rio an opportunity to know, worship and follow Jesus, and to grow to be like HIM. Rio is Global which means they have people from every continent in the world. They are giving the Brazilian Church an opportunity to see what Christ followers from around the world look like, and give the sojourning Christ-followers opportunities to go to places they would never go, and to do things they probably would never do.
